Two options are available for the early progressions to accommodate the individual user's comfort. Some may find it more comfortable to lower the head rest and maintain the neck support position, and others may find it more comfortable to maintain the head rest position and raise the neck support.
Always become completely comfortable at each level before advancing to a new level. For many Neck Station users it may not be necessary to progress past Stage 2.
Neck Station Usage Instructions
1. Begin in the Starting Position. Lower the neck support pad to the lowest position, which is the #4 setting on both the right and left sides, by lifting up the levers. Make certain that both sides are in position 4. Raise the head rest to its highest position, which is done by inserting the protrusion into slot A. Use your hand to apply pressure to the top of both the Neck Rest and the Head Rest to make certain that they are securely in place.
2. Now place the Neck Station device behind you on the floor, treatment table or comfortable supporting surface. Slowly lower yourself so your head makes contact with the head cup and your neck contacts the neck support, such that the foam padded support is in the middle of your neck.
Relax as much as possible. Five minutes is recommended, but if you begin to become uncomfortable, stop immediately, and over time, try to work your way up to 5 minutes. You can choose, based upon comfort, to progress per the steps outlined above to find your optimum starting position. Strive to find a level which is comfortable but also provides a slight stretch. As you become acclimated to your Neck Station, you can extend your stretching time up to 10 minutes.
3. Once done, sit up and rest a few minutes before standing up.
